Making an impact for 50 years
Helping governments and nonprofits to learn, connect, and move forward stronger together
2026 brings us a lot to celebrate at Fusion Learning Partners. This year marks our 50th anniversary as an organization creating opportunities for governments and nonprofits to learn, connect, and move forward stronger together.
As we celebrate this anniversary, I want to share with you the qualities that have carried us through five decades of change and challenge: perseverance, resilience, and adaptability.
- Perseverance has been the steady force behind our journey. Through both opportunities and obstacles, a commitment to our mission and long-term goals has kept us moving forward. It’s this determination, day in and day out, that has shaped who we are today.
- Resilience has strengthened us along the way. Over the years, we’ve faced economic downturns, political changes, evolving markets, unexpected challenges, and moments of uncertainty. Each time, we’ve emerged stronger by learning, growing, and reinforcing the values that define us.
- Adaptability has enabled us to thrive in a world that’s constantly changing. From new technologies to shifting customer and client needs, we’ve embraced innovation, new growth opportunities and evolved while staying true to our mission – to serve the public and civic sector with educational events, programs and services that inspire innovation for the greater good. This balance has allowed us to remain relevant and forward-looking.
That’s not all. This year is also the 45th anniversary of our GOVIT Leadership Summit & Symposium, the nation’s longest-running IT conference for state and local government. And, alongside that, we celebrate 55 years of our Public Technology Institute (PTI) empowering local government IT leaders through consulting, education, professional development, and community.
These milestones reflect a full-circle story of organizations and programs that have not only stood the test of time through adversity and challenges, but also have never strayed from the simple mission of supporting the public and civic sectors.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the people who make up our story—our past and current board, employees, clients, customers, and partners. Their trust, dedication, and support have built not just an organization, but a lasting legacy.
As we celebrate this year, we’re not just looking back on what we’ve built. Yes, we’re proud of where Fusion is today, but what gets us the most excited is what’s coming next. We’re ready for the future, continuing to innovate and serve in new ways.
