leadership-pieces Thankful for our community

Thank you to everyone who has shared their insights with us in 2025.

Coaching Button is an open community of everyone who practices leadership. And we believe that everyone can step into a leadership role, whether they are in a traditional “leadership” role such as a CEO or CIO, or someone in a staff position who has stepped up to lead a project, initiative, or effort. If you have shared a vision and helped others to get there, you are a leader.

This year, we welcomed two more leaders who shared their experiences with us. In total, we shared 99 articles in 2025. That’s over 104,000 words! To put that into perspective, a novel typically ranges from 50,000 to 110,000 words, which puts our community in the upper range of most novels.

In fact, we recognized one of our contributors, Ron McFarland, by collecting 36 of his essays on open organizations into a book, Leadership in Open Organizations. Through Ron’s essays, we have an international leader’s reflections on open organizations, open leadership, and entrepreneurial leadership. We are fortunate to have Ron McFarland as an Open Organization Ambassador. Ron has a long history in working with organizations, and he uses those decades to share his perspectives on how open organizations can change the world.
